An unusual find in Kurzelów. A mushroom picker shared a photo."The weather was great today. Mushroom picking was a success. P.S. In Kurzelów, you can even find pickled mushrooms in the forest," she wrote in the photo's description.
Mushrooms growing in a piece of glass are proof that nature can adapt to any conditions. While this sight brings a smile to the face, it also reflects a more serious problem: littering in forests.
Abandoned bottles, cans, and beverage containers are among the most common human remains found in forests , and their presence in the environment poses real threats. Broken glass can injure animals, and plastic containers become traps for insects and small mammals. In summer, sunlight focused through glass can even cause fires.
Foresters are urging us to pick up our own trash and any we find along the way. This will help ensure the forest remains a wild, clean, and safe place—one we want to return to.
